Florescence: A Tsumami-Zaiku Exhibition by Cora Fung
Date: 26th-30th October 2024
Time: 12pm-6pm
Venue: Butcher Works Gallery, 72 Arundel Street, Sheffield, S1 2NS
Florescence is the upcoming solo exhibition by Cora Fung, a Tsumami-zaiku artist based in Sheffield. The exhibition will showcase headpieces and artwork created through the media of fabric and dye, featuring a wide variety of flowers, as well as birds and butterflies. Florescence will be presenting the latest artwork created by Cora, as well as a selection of her previous work, showcasing her intricate craftsmanship and artistic endeavour.
After her 2023 exhibition titled Kachoufuugetsu, which was held in Manchester, Cora wanted to connect with the audience back here in Sheffield, where she embarked on her artistic journey and flourished into an artist and artisan. Through this event, she wants to share her passion, joy, and fulfilment that she acquired through practising the craft of Tsumami-zaiku, as well as her fascination with flowers.
