A delicate and charming classic Platycodon flower brooch, created with lightweight habutai silk fabric. The flowers are made with the Tsumami-zaiku technique, and are embellished with millinery stamens and rhinestones. Each flower is mounted onto a silver plated brooch and it comes in two colours: purple and dark teal. A wonderful complement for a chic, smart casual outfit. Perfect for every day of the week.
The brooch is made with lightweight, glossy habutae silk fabric. The fabric is carefully cut and intricately folded to create delicate details, which are then assembled into flowers and leaves to create the brooch.
Every brooch is fully handmade so each one of them is unique. Utmost care is taken to ensure that every flower looks as similar as possible with slight differences.

Tsumami-zaiku is an artisan skill originated in the Japanese aristocracy, dating back to the late 18th century. Today, the craft is still used extensively to make exquisite floral headpieces for Maikos (apprentice Geishas). Tsumami-Zaiku is a delightful union of Japanese tradition, culture, and nature. We aim to bring this over two-century-old craft into modern fashion, so as to create distinctive, unique, and alternative headpieces.
